Coaster from Three Maples Farm, Westmoreland, NH – #25091
The Story Behind the Stone
The stones scattered across New England’s farms and fields were deposited by glaciers that shaped the region’s landscape thousands of years ago. This handcrafted coaster was another overlooked fieldstone before being cut and polished into a functional work of art.
Each American Stonecraft piece celebrates the beauty hidden within ordinary natural materials. By partnering with local farms and harvesting stone responsibly, each handcrafted coaster preserves a small piece of regional history while supporting sustainable craftsmanship.

As the coaster is crafted from natural stone, it may have minor, non-structural fissures, scratches, pocks, chips, and other superficial flaws that are often seen as “beauty marks” by our artisan, Gerald Croteau. Nonetheless, the coaster has been inspected and tested to ensure it is structurally sound. No food-safe resin has been applied to the coasters to ensure the stone remains completely natural.
