Bowl 10oz from Ausinto Woods Farm, Croydon, NH – #21538
The Story Behind the Stone
The stones scattered across New England’s fields and farms were deposited by glaciers that shaped the region’s landscape thousands of years ago. This handcrafted bowl was once another overlooked fieldstone before being carefully cut, shaped, and polished into functional art.
Each American Stonecraft ® piece reveals the beauty hidden within ordinary natural materials. By partnering with local farms and harvesting stone responsibly, every handcrafted bowl preserves a small piece of regional history while supporting sustainable craftsmanship.

Product Conditions
The serving surface of the bowl has been polished and treated with a food-safe penetrating sealer to prevent stains and preserve the stone’s natural beauty. Cork feet are included to protect surfaces and provide stability. Because each bowl is handcrafted from natural fieldstone, it may feature minor, non-structural fissures, pocks, scratches, chips, and other superficial markings that artisan Gerald Croteau refers to as “beauty marks.” All bowls have been carefully inspected and tested before leaving the American Stonecraft ® workshop to ensure each one is structurally sound. Additionally, workmanship on all handcrafted stone bowls is guaranteed for life.
