Morning Beckons Farm is a 250-acre estate in scenic Thompson, Connecticut. They have a 300+ alpaca herd that produces show-winning animals.

Alpacas are social herd animals that have been domesticated for thousands of years. They are valuable for the quantity and quality of their coats, which can be made into soft, durable fibers.

The geology of Connecticut varies a lot. At Morning Beckons Farm we found some really beautiful metamorphic rocks along with the granite that’s common to New England.
