      Food Slab

      No two are alike.

Each a work of art and a slice of nature.

      What is a food Slab?

A Food Slab is a food-safe serving dish made from a rock that we picked up from the ground. They begin as fieldstones that we collect by hand at local farms across New England. We transform these rocks into unique treasures for your home.

We can also start with a rock that you provide. Learn more about Custom Stonecutting.

      live edges

Each Food Slab is a 7/16″ slice of a raw fieldstone. The natural “live” edges from the stone’s glacial tumbling are preserved in the finished piece.

      farm provenance

The underside of each Food Slab is labeled with its farm of origin. Visit your Farm’s page to view photos of our gathering visit.

      clear silicon feet

Silicon feet allow your stone to softly and securely rest on any surface. Safe to wash in the sink with soap and water.

what can i use it for?

Great question! Use your Food Slab as a platter or plate for serving food, as a cheese board, a trivet for hot dishes, burn candles on it, place it under potted plants, the list goes on. Literally, on… and on… for more check out our 101 Things You Can Do With a Food Slab.
