Bowl or Boulder?
A Bowlder is both! An heirloom quality stone bowl that we handcraft at our studio in Massachusetts.
Bowls are made from fieldstones that we gather at local farms. We can also start with a stone that you provide.
What is a Bowlder?
A Bowlder is our term for the heirloom quality stone bowls that we handcraft at our studio in Massachusetts.
Bowlders are made from fieldstones that we gather at local farms. We can also start with a stone that you provide.
Our team of artisans slice, grind, and polish the rock with diamond tools.
All Bowls are protected with a permanent food-safe seal for easy cleaning and to prevent staining.
Bowls are usually between 2″ to 3″ in height. Diameter varies widely depending on the stone. Weight is usually in the range of 3 – 10 lbs. Farm-provenance listed on the underside, and sizing on the product detail tab in the shop.
Cork feet are included on the bowl and will protect delicate surfaces.
Our Bowls are the trickiest product we make. Each one takes hours of delicate sculpting. Some even include a lid.
